Every afternoon around 2pm I hit the 'brickwall' not literally but my brain thinks I should be cosied up in bed in the warmth of Australia fast asleep. Its taking me a while to get over the journey and the 10 time zones I have crossed and I've just been reading about kits you can buy to help your body rhythms get back to normal ~ at a cost of £300.00!!! Think Ill have to give that one a miss ~ £300.00 would be a third of the way there to a ticket back for me :)

I miss Australia so much, the warmth, the sunlight and the people I love; they are all there but home is here in Scotland so for the time being I have to try and not freeze (snowing at present and dark already 5.15pm) and I do have wonderful memories.

However if someone said "you can go tomorrow and pick anywhere you want to live" well thats a different story ( I would cross those 10 times zones no problem at all ) ~ I would either go to Pottsville a tiny village in northern NSW see photos below

PERFECTION

just my family and the ocean

oh and the odd feathered visitor who was so nosy.

or I would go up to the sunshine coast to Castaway beach ~ wild and empty; the sea is so loud and hypnotic and draws all your worries and problems out and just washes them away. I wouldnt need a big house or anything fancy ~ honest. While we were there Jim looked at the building trade and getting a job over there ~ we already realised we were too old but we had thought to try and get a sponser as Jim can do beautiful cornice work and all the roof work and tiling etc, anyway they do everything very differently and the trades that Jim has are very different to whats going on over in Queensland. We talked to some tradesman and you also have to have special work permits for working in Queensland so its probably out of the question to get someone to sponsor him. Dont think we'll be heading down under any time soon :(

Jim also got very nasty spider bites whilst there ~ and was ill for 3 days before he started to improve and he was eaten alive by green ants ~ ouch!!! think that put him off and he's not scared of any creepy crawlies usually.

News back home~

Today was the first day for our new minister Revd. Alan Reid ~ what a wonderful service it was too. The service was all about spreading the Good News and how each person can do this in their own way and it was so uplifting and inspiring, the reading was Isaiah 6: 1 ~ 7 and Romans 12: 1 ~ 8, the hymns were beautiful too one of them was Rachel and Louises favs and it made me feel abit weepy for them but only for a minute cause I know theyre having a wonderful time in Oz, miss you precious Rach Lu Scarlett and Stevie xxxx
Tonight bad snow is forcast the gritter has just flown past our house so it must be going to be bad!! So Ill be off for now I have things to do to try and keep me awake for a while longer and Ill be back later in the week ~ take care all my friends out there and God bless you all ~ Judy

I think we could all do with a bit of warmth and sunlight at this time of the year. Hope you get over the jet lag soon.

Hi Judy, thank you for all your lovely comments on my blog - it was so lovely to hear from you. Australia looks amazing, I can see why you would want to go and live there!

Did you get the promised snow? At the opposite end of the land (St. Ives) we are having several freezing hailstorms again this morning, brrrrrr, think I'll stay in today!
