exhibition

corset made with silk and fine wool tops trapped in water soluble fabric and free machine embroidered

Hello dear friends and family what a busy busy week ~ getting up early and going to bed late ~ I could do with some extra hours in the day at present! The exhibition is now over for this year and so for Rachel, Louise, Stevie and Scarlett and all who couldnt make it to Dundee here are my pieces of art which have filled my time this year ~ if they take a long time to load its because I've kept the images large so you can see the detail ~ the images below are from my City and Guilds Machine Embroidery course a two year course. I chose to make accessories for a bride; a stole, bag, lavender heart and peace bird and I made the corset for my free choice piece. The fabric was all made by me using free machine embroidery on water soluble fabric with Madeira Thread

all i can say is wow. The corset and the stole look SO good together! I really, really love the soft, detailed, embroidered look to the corset. I'm not sure what water soluble fabric is, but it sounds fascinating (more of a jewelry artist myself). Wonderful work here.

STUNNING... Judy your work is amazing. You must be so proud of your accomplishments!!!
I love your work with the water soluble plastic and the machine embroidery, very special.
The detail is amazing. Love how you have done the joins on the stole and the gorgeous little bag. Is the top crocheted or is that more of your wonderful machine embroidery.
Thanks so much for sharing this beautiful needlework, I am going back for another look.
