Well its all change in the Scott household, the biggest thing is that Rachel and Louise head off to university this weekend ~ Im just getting used to having them back with me ~ at least its only Edinburgh :)
Im back at Dundee College as of this week and I hope to complete my HNC this year; as Im not doing City and Guilds anymore Im hoping it'll be a little easier, although I do miss the girls and my tutor from last year.
This semester Im taking Textile Techniques and the topic is Cake and Candy ~ how wonderful is that for me, in our first class we started by drawing goodies and in my case I chose Liquorise Allsorts ~ for the first two weeks we have to do a series of drawings using different media and papers.

water colour crayons
I will keep you posted over the next few weeks.
My next class is Design Semantics which explores the principles of design; line, texture, shape, form, proportion, colour, rhythm and pattern ~ today we search magazines for examples of these. Tomorrow I have Observational drawing.

You make me feel positively idle.
You'll get used to being without your daughters..its difficult at first but you do. I don't know if its easier with sons.....!
Can understand you being a bit sad about the girls going to university Jude - especially since they haven't been back from their travels for very long! Glad they won't be too far away though.
Love your drawings of licorice allsorts. You are very talented and I love all the art you have created.
Jujudrops says hello by the way!
Sending much love to you.

P.S Love the banner - gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous..
It was so lovely to see the things you have been creating over the last couple of weeks. You are always so productive and creative! College seems to have come round again so soon. I already love your sweetie drawings and paintings. It's good to have the challenge and focus of College. I hope you enjoy your new course and you are sure to make lots of new friends :o)
Have a lovely weekend

Wonderful art Judy - as always. I especially like the rose.
Your owl looks good on the wall of my art room BTW...he seems at home there. His name is Saggio - I'll let you work that one out!!
