I have to say a great big thank you to Angela Taylor for letting me do the course over two years, to all my tutors Angela Taylor, Jo Hodge, Susan Basham, Tracy, Dermot Curnyn and last but definitely not least James Donald who was also my course tutor and such an inspiration. Its been an amazing couple of years and I have loved every minute of my time at Dundee College. I had lovely class mates too and will miss them all.
Im off to Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in September to do my degree in textile design, I was fortunate to get straight into second year, so I'll have another three years of hard study to do. At the end of my time there my dream is to be a designer maker, have my own studio and screen print facilities and from my printed textiles produce a range of items which I can then sell. Dreams - but they sometimes do come true - lets see if three years down the line I still feel the same.
Good luck to my fellow students - two of whom are going onto study at Duncan of Jordanstone and one who is going to Lancaster to study surface decoration.
Thats all for now - Judy xxx

Simply stunning Judy! I especially love the red & green set - to die for. And the birdhouse is adorable. Thank you for sharing.

Judy your dreams are sure to come true - you are a beautiful lady and you work so hard. Keep dreaming! Your exhibition is stunning, I could not believe the amount of work! I would love to be able to see your sketchbooks that I glimpsed in the slideshow. Such beautiful colours. Every good wish for your future studying as Duncan of Jordanstone :o) xx
Fabulous work Judy
Good luck with the show

thank you so much - Julie I'll try and photograph the pages once everything calms down. xxx
It looks fabulous Judy... wish I was up in Dundee this week! Good luck with your future studies and may all your dreams come true!
Hi Judy,Your work looks fabulous - can't believe you've done all that in two years. You have spurred me on to go and do my C&G homework!!
(I've read back on your blog, I remember using a Princess Pleater at college years ago - very good but you have to be careful about the fabric or the needles DO break. Please let us know how you get on with it - I was looking at them myself a while back, x
Beautiful work Judy I would love to visit and see all your work in person.

I love the yellow and grey one the most but all your work is a triumph congratulations. I took a load of 6th form students an Art college exhibition in Manchester a couple of years ago and I would have chosen Duncan of Jordanstone just for the name! Have a wonderful time. I can't wait to see your work.
I hope that the exhibition went really well. I think you had created a beautiful collection of work.
May your dreams come true and enjoy your degree course.
Love your work I'm sure you'll do brilliantly on your degree. I've signed up for the sketchbook project too! I've picked lines and grids.
Shiela Mortlock, who is visiting and teaching(as per Ukieri project)this week, at our :South Delhi Polytechnic for Women(Lajpat Nagar Delhi,India)wore your blue batik dress (with pink stole),as she went round the college campus.
In our college too, there is a lot of batik work done -and the students seemed interested to know about the dress. They liked very much-the idea and the trouble you took to line the dress with pink, inside too;)
